The UNF Deadbirds get their first taste of victory this past weekend, beating the USF Bulls. UNF has one more match against FIU on March 10th. Go Deadbirds!

UNF Deadbirds – South Cup Champions 2015

After defeating Loyola 42-21 in the semi finals, the Deadbirds defeated Lee University 19-12 to win the South Cup championship and advance to North Carolina for the final round of 16 teams in the US which will be held on March 28 and 29.

2014 Collegiate Rugby Championship

The UNF Deadbirds Sevens team finished two points short from making the semi final match at PPL Park in Philadelphia on June 1st for the Collegiate Rugby Championship.     PPL Park was full of the best the sport of rugby has to offer.  In the major college pool was California, Drexel, Maryland, Temple, Dartmouth, Kutztown, Notre Dame, St. Joseph’s, Michigan, Navy, Ohio State, Texas, Northeastern, Penn State, South Carolina, UCLA, Arizona, Life University, Penn and Virginia Tech.  In the small college division the teams were University of North Florida, New England College, Susquehanna University, New Mexico Highlands University, University of Richmond, Valdosta State, Lafayette College and Sonoma State University.

In 2013, the UNF Deadbirds made it to the final match on Sunday at PPL Park but finished second.

UNF looks to keep undefeated season rolling

As of now, the Deadbirds are 4-0 going into the last regular season game against Ave Maria. Looking to keep this ball rolling with a point deficit from the last 4 games being 186-40. UNF won by 1 point the last time they played Ave Maria and it was on their turf. This game is crucial to decide which team goes to the playoffs as both teams are undefeated. The match will be Saturday March 8th at the practice soccer fields in lot 18 next to Hodges Stadium at 2 PM. Come out and support your Deadbirds in this final regular season match!
